 This site contains a selection of sheet music for violin together with notes on performance and associated midi files. The midi files consist of an upper violin part and a lower accompaniment track: with the use of appropriate software, perhaps music sequencing software, the upper violin part can be muted, leaving you to play along to the accompaniment, or you can leave the violin line intact and use the whole midi data as a guide to playing the violin part.
There are also tips on playing the violin, exercises and practice passages.
